AMC Psychology

Ann Marie (she/her) is a psychologist with over 10 years of experience working with adult clients. This includes experience in community-based organisations and both public and private health settings.

Ann Marie has extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of issues and values a collaborative, compassionate and tailored approach to therapy.

  • Ann Marie works from a Contemplative therapeutic framework, providing a person-centred and trauma informed approach to sessions. Ann Marie combines different therapeutic techniques drawing from

  • Areas of special interest for Ann Marie include self-worth and empowerment, boundaries and communication skills, identifying and working with values, using mindfulness and self-compassion effectively and identifying do-able actions.

    Ann Marie holds a MA in Counselling Psychology BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, Canada and a BSc. In Communications from Ireland.  Ann Marie’s first career was in Film and Television production.

    Ann Marie has extensive and diverse experience working in areas addictions and homelessness. Ann Marie has worked for NGO’s such as ACON Health Sydney (LGBTQ heath service) and 1800 Respect (Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Service).
